In teaching listening comprehension through "shadowing" and in "graded and intensive class", the following results were obtained. (1) Students who get high marks on a grammar test can develop into learners with high listening comprehension ability. (2) Students who get high marks on a listening comprehension test will develop, through instruction, into learners with high grammatical competence. (3) Students with low scores on a grammar test did not do well on a listening comprehension test.
