The people has believed "the greater, the better", and this "Myth of growth" has sustained and reinforced the industry. But there is a limit to everything. It has become hard for the industry to gather amount of resources without limits and at low costs. Thus, "Myth of growth" lost the brightness. Many social structures that established by this myth are survive. They are typical of Japan, consist of familism, group behavior, mutual aid, and peaceful coexistence. As they avoid wasteful competitions, they are very useful for the growth. But they are doubtful of managed economy. Some American began to bash Japan, "Japanese systems are anticompetitive, protective, Japanese are unfair, heterogeneous". We must clear up these doubts. We should remember that free economy is not "Gemeinschaft", but "Gesellschaft". Therefore, "New myth" must be consist of liberalism and individualism, and "New value system" must be universal.
