Those dressmakers contributed largely to the dress-making industry in some respects. In the first place, it was in medium and small-scale dressmakers that the mass of about 60000 workers in the industry was engaged. In the second place, big dress makers adopted the production system, atelier directed by woman's chief, premiere (atelier is typical production system in medium and small-scale ones).
