In this paper, we analyze the relation between the global corporate strategy and the global information technology in Japanese manufacturing companies based on the answers of 169 companies which filled out our questionnaire. In this analysis, the companies were classified four groups in accordance with their international communication lines and their levels of sophistication. We reveal the following points with this research. First, Japanese manufacturing companies are adopting different global corporate strategies under the different global information systems.
