The procedure for this study is as follows: (1) I conducted experiment in reading comprehension on sixty-five students. (2) I classified my lesson procedure into four activities; (a) practice of oral reading at a normal speed (b) silent reading through the text (c) listening to the instructor's model reading in order to have a good grasp of the text (d) asking and answering questions on the text in English (3) I explored the students' own assessment of success strategies in reading. (4) I analyzed the results of the experiment and exploration. The results of the consideration led to the following conclusions: (1) Practice of oral reading at a normal speed is an effective one for oral reading. (2) Practice of oral reading at a normal speed is necessary for fast reading comprehension.
