A multi-dimensional rating scale as a lot of researchers also point out to assess the effect of the child care and education in each factor is needed. In this review, the focus is especially appropriated to an interactive factor of the child and his environment in those factors. That is, the assessment methods of four following viewpoints is discussed. (1) Assessment methods concerning function of child behaviors. (2) Assessment methods concerning ecology of child and his family life. (3) Assessment methods concerning prompt and help method of child care and education. (4) Methods of assessing children careing and teaching behaviors of nurses and teachers. It is thought that these assessment methods gives profitable information when takes care and education of the children with handicaps. It will be necessary to develop the assessment method concerning factors of children with nonhandicaps and nurses and teachers' factors, and supporting systems for handicaps besides the assessment methods of the above-mentioned in the future.
