| 内容記述 | Mori Ogai was not only a writer, but also a high-ranking bureaucrat, who played an important roll as a member of the Meiji government immediately after its start. In this thesis the author especially pays attention to the fact that the remodel of Tokyo on a large scale was started in 1889 when the Law of City Planning was enacted. It was the year Ogai came back home from Berlin. Ogai was actively involved in the city planning of Tokyo based on the knowledge, how Berlin had been reconstructed. The author points out that the Japanese bureaucrat in those days had far more freedom than that in the present days, whose jobs are formal and subdivided. | |||||||||||
